New details about the PlayStation 5 processor: Octa-core by Ryzen!
PlayStation 5 |
Sony's new and anticipated "PlayStation 5" platform will come next year as we know, and a processor based on the "AMD Ryzen" line will be released, but "Sony" did not talk about it officially during the announcement of the device yesterday morning.
But luckily, this Japanese source was able to do the job well.
The prestigious "Famitsu" magazine in Japan has confirmed its position that the PlayStation 5 will be based on an AMD Ryzen octa-core x86-64 processor with 16 lines as the core processor to withstand the tough tasks of the device.
This was not surprising for many as it was expected from all experts to balance the AMD graphics card that would track light with SSD performance.
There was no better confirmation today from the Japanese source.
But we should not believe any rumors that will emerge in the coming times in particular because Sony will not fully announce the device until next year, any rumor of an interview between the workers on the device in December is not true but a rumor.
The platform is supposed to be launched next Christmas season and will be announced ahead of time.
The device comes with an SSD to accelerate game downloads with a graphics card specifically designed for the platform by AMD also to handle light tracing on the platform during gameplay.
